Improving mood and group cohesion with a recital

The mission statement at Community Entry Services, or CES, is to empower people with disabilities to maximize independence and lead satisfying productive lives in the community. The folks who attend this treatment and training center in Jackson WY received weekly group music therapy sessions, with the primary goals of improving mood and increasing communication and cohesion among the clients. With the overarching mission of integrating these adults with disabilities into the community in positive and productive ways, many of them participated in a community music recital that included many other members of the community. This video shows that recital, and exhibits just how positive the experience was for the clients, how effective it was at including them in the community, and how well received they were by the community.
